We would like to share some exciting news about a significant change to our appointment system, that will improve how Stifford Clays Medical Practice delivers healthcare services to you from Wednesday 8^th January 2025 – we are moving to the Total Triage model. As a Group Practice, we aim to provide a high-quality service for our patients, with an emphasis on evidence-based medicine. It is especially important for us to reflect upon how we manage our patients. Where necessary, we will have discussions with our NHS colleagues for added support. The Partners meet every morning to share information and discuss any issues that have arisen. Regular staff meetings also take place. Our Practice aims for consistency in its work ethic between all clinicians.

Staff training on Tuesday 9th September 2025, please be aware the surgery will close at 1pm.

E Consult will close at 11.00am to allow our Clinical team to triage and book appointments should they need to be seen today before we close.

Flu Season 2025-2026

Flu vaccination Walk-in No Appointment Necessary: Sunday 5^th October 2025

Morning:- 9.00am – 12.00pm

Afternoon:- 1.30pm – 4.30pm

If you are unable to attend this date, please call reception

to book an appointment.

Patients who are eligible for this year’s flu vaccination (65+ and those at risk 18-64 only) will be contacted either by text or letter inviting them to receive their flu vaccination on this one day only walk-in session.

Please make every effort to drop in on this day to receive your flu vaccination.

Information for patients using Mounjaro for weight loss

In mid and south Essex, Mounjaro is only available through the specialist Tier 3 weight management service and is prioritised for patients with the highest clinical need.

If you're currently paying for Mounjaro privately and would like to access it through the NHS, please be aware that you must meet the local NHS eligibility criteria at the time you are referred to the Tier 3 weight management service.

Please note that acceptance onto the Tier 3 weight management service does not guarantee access to the medication, as it may not be clinically suitable for everyone on the programme. In addition, access to the drug on the NHS must also be accompanied by wraparound dietary and physical activity support.

If you are currently paying for Mounjaro privately for weight loss and now wish to stop or taper off the drug, please speak with your private provider.

eConsult

Econsult for total Triage will be available Monday - Friday between 7am - 2pm. Emergencies only can still contact the surgery after 2pm.

Stifford Clays Medical Practice would like you to use eConsult as the preferred method when booking an appointment, this is not an Emergency service.

A GP will review your eConsult request and a care coordinator will contact you to book an appointment if appropriate. The GP may also contact you if further information is needed.
