Welcome to Stifford Clays Medical Practice

We would like to share some exciting news about a significant change to our appointment system, that will improve how Stifford Clays Medical Practice delivers healthcare services to you from Wednesday 8th January 2025 – we are moving to the Total Triage model. Please click on the above link to read more.

As a Group Practice, we aim to provide a high-quality service for our patients, with an emphasis on evidence-based medicine. It is especially important for us to reflect upon how we manage our patients. Where necessary, we will have discussions with our NHS colleagues for added support. The Partners meet every morning to share information and discuss any issues that have arisen. Regular staff meetings also take place. Our Practice aims for consistency in its work ethic between all clinicians.

POLITE NOTICE

Staff training on Tuesday 8th June 2025, please be aware the surgery will close at 1pm.

E Consult will close at 11.00am to allow our Clinical team to triage and book appointments should they need to be seen today before we close.

Update on tirzepatide for weight management

On 23rd June 2025, it was announced that people living with obesity will be able to begin accessing tirzepatide (Mounjaro®) for weight loss purposes in primary care settings. However, the national roll out does not mean all people will be able to get a prescription for tirzepatide (Mounjaro®) on this day.

Weight management services are locally commissioned at an Integrated Care Board (ICB) level. In mid and south Essex, access to tirzepatide will initially be through specialist weight management services only. Access to tirzepatide (Mounjaro®) through primary care is not expected to start in mid and south Essex until later in 2025.

NHS Mid and South Essex ICB has provided information on tirzepatide on its website - Visit the website for more information

eConsult

Econsult for total Triage will be available Monday - Friday between 7am - 2pm. Emergencies only can still contact the surgery after 2pm.

Stifford Clays Medical Practice would like you to use eConsult as the preferred method when booking an appointment, this is not an Emergency service.

A GP will review your eConsult request and a care coordinator will contact you to book an appointment if appropriate. The GP may also contact you if further information is needed.

POLITE NOTICE

On Staff training days E Consult will close at 11.00am to allow our Clinical team to triage and book appointments should they need to be seen today before we close.
